War Child plane pull at Aviodrome Lelystad

Make a stand for War Child during the Plane Pull on Saturday, September 19! This unique event will take place at National Aviation Theme Park Aviodrome in Lelystad. Participants will have the opportunity to (rope) pull a 46,000 kilogram Fokker 100 aircraft forward. In this way, participants literally make a case for War Child, as the event raises money for children in war zones.

Registration for this unique event can be done through thewebsite of athletes in action foundation. The entry fee is €17.50 per person, which includes a ticket to the park. The money raised will be donated to War Child by Aviodrome on behalf of all participants.

'Flying and power'

Throughout the day, Aviodrome is all about "flight and strength. In addition to the aircraft pulling, participants can also participate in various other challenging activities, including a number of 'strongest man' events familiar from television. Furthermore, the finals of the NK Vrachtwagen trekken for duos will also take place and 'strongest man' Richard van der Linden will attempt to pull the plane alone.

Additional attractions

For both participants in the Plane Pull and spectators/supporters, there is plenty to do throughout the day. During this event, in addition to the planes and everything else Aviodrome has to offer, there are extra activities such as live performances, extra attractions and special "strongest child" parts.

War Child

Marc Agtersloot, chairman of Sportsmen in Action: "There is quite a lot going on in the world at the moment, we cannot and should not close our eyes to that. War Child has been helping children in war zones for years. Children should not grow up in war, never. And that is what we want to work for at Aviodrome on September 19."
