Special donation to aviation theme park Aviodrome

The radio room of Aviation Theme Park Aviodrome has received a very special donation. Indeed, on July 10, the flag of the VORKLM (Association of Former KLM Radio Telegraphers) was presented by Mr. Mulder, former secretary of VORKLM.

In the fall of 1945, some radio telegraphers founded an interest group under the name "Association of KLM Radio Telegraphers" (VRKLM). As a result of advancing technical developments, the corps was gradually reduced in size. In 1965, the last radio operator left the airline.

FORKLM

On March 28, 1970, the name of the association was changed to "Association of Former KLM Radio Telegraphers" (VORKLM). On the occasion of the association's 40th anniversary, a flag made by the wives of two ex-radiotelegraphers was presented to the board.

Special gift

However, due to sharply declining membership, the VORKLM ceased to exist on October 1, 2013. The flag was donated to the radio room of Aviation Theme Park Aviodrome on July 10, 2015.
