Aviodrome voted Flevoland's most child-friendly museum for 10th time
In the year that Aviodrome celebrates its 50th anniversary, the aviation museum was named Flevoland's most kid-friendly museum by Museumkids for the tenth time in a row. The museum received the title "Kidsproof museum 2022" during a special online award ceremony organized by the Museum Association.
A total of 143museum inspectors visit Aviodrome. These children ages up to and including twelve rated the museums they visited using a questionnaire and grades. They gave the Aviation Museum an average rating of 8.6. This made the Aviodrome the most popular museum in the province.
The inspectors were especially enthusiastic about the Boeing 747, the simulator and the 4D movie theater. "I was able to look inside a Boeing 747 for the first time, which was cool," was the review of one of the visitors. Another inspector wrote, "It was interesting that you could see how the planes have changed over the years. I really saw, learned and did super much. More than I imagined beforehand."
Expression of appreciationGeneral manager Coen Hoozemans is obviously delighted with the award. "Children are a very important target group for us. For us this is therefore a token of appreciation. The fact that we have been voted Flevoland's most child-friendly museum for the tenth time in a row is very special. It shows that we have a lot to offer visitors in this age category. Of course we will continue to develop our museum, to ensure that next year there will again be beautiful and new exhibitions and activities that appeal to children."
