During this special weekend, discover how airplanes, helicopters, and drones are deployed daily to help people and save lives. From emergency medical care and rescue operations to firefighting and aerial surveillance: meet the organizations and aircraft that are ready when every second counts.

What can you expect?

On the outdoor grounds, you can admire various airplanes, helicopters, drones, and special vehicles used in rescue and aid operations up close.

These include:

  • Trauma helicopters from the ANWB MAA

  • Air Traffic Police helicopters and drones

  • Royal Netherlands Air Force operations for rescue missions, food drops, and wildfire suppression

  • Aircraft and helicopters from the Coast Guard

  • Modern drones for emergency response support

  • Special airport fire department vehicles on standby day and night

Please note: the participating aircraft are operational. It is therefore possible that an aircraft may be unexpectedly called upon for a mission.

Live demonstrations

Some impressive demonstrations will take place in the early afternoon, including:

  • A demonstration with the Grumman S-2 Tracker, during which the wings are folded and the engine is started.

  • Running the Wright R-3350 radial engine.

During the demonstrations, we’ll give you a glimpse into the technology of the past.
